For coaches and course creators who have run Meta ads before

What's working with Meta ads LIVE

5 days to feeling like Meta ads aren't going to raid your wallet.

I'm in over 40 course creator ad accounts every single week, so I can see exactly what's working right now. For five days in December, I'm just going to tell you. No snoozefest. No jargon. No "this worked one time for one person, so now I've put a ® behind it and I'm selling it to you all".

  • 7 to 11 December
  • 12pm EST / 5pm UK
  • Live on Zoom
  • Recordings to keep
  • 30 seats only

Be honest

Is your brain doing this about Meta ads?

"If I spend all that money and get nothing, I'm going to be sick."

"Every ad expert contradicts the last one."

"Is a $6 lead good? Bad? Who do I even ask?"

"I changed one thing and now it's all worse. Do I change it back?"

"Is my pixel even on? I've read that article four times."

*Opens Ads Manager with one eye shut*

None of that means you're bad at this. It means you've been doing a fiddly, expensive job with nobody around to tell you what's normal. So let's fix that.

Meta anxiety levels

How one week will reduce your Meta anxiety day by day

MONDAY

How Meta ads work

"So THAT's what's going on in there."

Panic level 100%
TUESDAY

The pixel

"My pixel pants are on. Right way round and everything."

Panic level 78%
WEDNESDAY

Writing your ads

"I wrote an ad and I don't hate it."

Panic level 55%
THURSDAY

Ad set-ups

"I know exactly what I'm building."

Panic level 33%
FRIDAY

Reading your numbers

"Opened Ads Manager. Both eyes."

Panic level 12%

Panic levels are highly scientific. I drew them myself.

What's inside

Have a rummage in the filing cabinet.

One drawer a day. Hit the arrows to pull them open.

A refresher with jokes. You'd be amazed what falls out when we give the whole thing a good shake.

  • Ads Manager finally makes sense, because it's only drawers, folders and bits of paper (don't worry, I'll explain)
  • How Meta picks who sees your ad now, and why your ad is doing the targeting (sorry, interest stackers)
  • Bullshit or true? We put boosting, $5 a day miracles and that thing you heard on a podcast on trial

Your pixel pants need to be put on properly for ads to truly work. Today they go on, right way round.

  • What the pixel does, explained with two tin cans and a piece of string
  • The events that matter for your funnel, and the ones you can cheerfully ignore
  • How to check it's working before you spend a penny, so you're not paying Meta to guess

No button in Ads Manager can rescue a boring ad. This is the day that does the most for your results.

  • Winning those first couple of lines before "see more", where your money gets made or lost
  • Finding fresh angles, so you're not writing the same ad in six different outfits
  • Images and video that will work. Bye bye, ChatGPT gubbins

What I'd build, what I'd leave out, and which of those 47 settings you can stop worrying about.

  • Lead magnets: the set-up I'd use to grow your list without torching your budget
  • Low ticket offers: how to set them up, and why they're trickier than everyone selling them lets on
  • Webinars and live launches: what to run, when to run it and when to stop

The day you stop refreshing Ads Manager like it owes you money.

  • The handful of numbers worth looking at, and the ones that are only there to frighten you
  • When to change something, and when to sit on your hands
  • How to stop the Tweak Spiral, aka changing five things in a panic before your first coffee

How I teach

Most Meta ads courses are a snoozefest.

I've never liked to learn that way, so I don't teach that way. Nobody remembers a definition. They remember the daft picture I put in their head, and it's still there at 9pm when they're staring at their ad account.

😴 THE SNOOZEFEST VERSION

The Ads Manager hierarchy comprises three levels: campaign, ad set and ad.

🤌 MY VERSION

Think of the metal filing cabinet in a dodgy private investigator's office. Drawers, folders, bits of paper. Congratulations, you understand Ads Manager.

😴 THE SNOOZEFEST VERSION

The pixel is a snippet of code that transmits event data to Meta's servers.

🤌 MY VERSION

Remember playing telephone with two tin cans and a piece of string? Your website says "someone just signed up!" down the string, and Meta hears it. That's what the frig the pixel does.

😴 THE SNOOZEFEST VERSION

Ensure standard events are correctly configured prior to campaign launch.

🤌 MY VERSION

Your pixel pants need to be put on properly before you leave the house. Nobody wants to find out they're not halfway down the road, with their budget flapping in the wind.

A fair question

Why isn't this a course, Jackie?

Because I don't want to make one, simple as that.

Meta moves the furniture every few months, so any ads course starts going off like a pint of milk the second it's published. Your wallet deserves what's working this month, from someone who's looking at it this month.

So I'm doing the thing I enjoy, which is talking to real people, live. Then it's over and we can all get on with our lives. You keep the recordings. That doesn't make it a course. I've checked.

Worth being straight about

Is this you?

Pull up a chair if

  • You're a coach, course creator or online expert
  • You've run ads, but they've been hit or miss and you'd love to know why
  • You've been on an ad hiatus and want a refresher before you trust yourself with a budget again
  • You've got something to run ads to: a freebie, a webinar or a low ticket offer. It doesn't need to be a full offer suite

Give this one a miss if

  • You sell physical products or run a local business. Lovely, but it isn't my world
  • You're still working out what you want to sell
  • You want someone to do it all for you. This week shows you how, and the doing stays with you
  • You need me to promise you a result. I can't, and I'd be wary of anyone who does

People I've explained things to

I'm told I'm not boring.

"I was deep in her emails, nodding along while she unapologetically called out the BS in the ads world. She said the quiet part out loud."
CChristina
"I've learned a HUGE amount and it hasn't felt overwhelming."
LLel
"I now feel confident that I'm not just guessing about what's going on with my ads manager, and you have helped me fix my pixel issues, which I didn't even know I had!"
KKatie
"She's fun to work with, knows her stuff and makes it straight forward so everyone can understand!"
KKelly
"Jackie is straight talking, which I like - and what you need in this space."
RRosie
"We need more of this kind of energy and simplicity around bringing fb ads into our businesses."
DDebbie
"We hear all the time to trust the process, but that is much easier when there is actually a process to trust lol!"
LLeah
"Jackie took me through the conversion rate and how to understand it all… this has totally bamboozled me in the past!"
JJosie
"Jackie you are fab - warm, engaging, funny, supportive - keep being you x"

WHAT'S WORKING LIVE 7 TO 11 DEC

One payment. 30 seats.

Buy my ticket

Tickets close on Tuesday 24 November, or sooner if the 30 go first.

Go on then, ask.

Why only 30 seats?

Because it's live, and I'd like to answer your question rather than wave at it from a distance. First come, first served.

What if I can't make it live?

Watch the recording when you can. You'll miss the chance to ask me things in real time, but the sessions are yours to keep.

Do I need to be running ads during the week?

No. You don't need to spend a penny on ads to come along. Having something to run ads to will help you apply it as we go.

What happens after Friday?

The Facebook group closes, the recordings stay with you, and that's it. It's a one-week thing with no ongoing support, which is rather the point.
